It's something to have on in the background due to how underwhelming the film is, then again you do get to see what the last name of Jason's mother is in this.Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees. While I prefer this over Part III due to the characters, 1984's Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter just feels like a repeat of Part III, and the formula is wearing thin. The film can drag and is something to have on in the background, although the final battle that takes place in a house between Trish and Jason was pretty alright. Tom Savini does some good work in the effects department, especially once you see Jason unmasked. What I also noticed is how the director Joseph Zito doesn't use the camera to build up suspense like the last few movies have done, and Jason just appears without any proper build up.
While I did like the perfomances of Corey Feldman and Crispin Glover in this, we spend too much time with the other teenagers who are just meh and Jason falls into the background.
It's now up to Tommy and Trish to kill Jason and end his murderous rampage once and for all.īarney Cohen's screenplay just has a been there done that feel to it. Jason begins killing the teenagers and kills Tommy's mother. He returns to Camp Crystal Lake where young boy Tommy Jarvis (Corey Feldman) lives with his mother and older sister Trish (Kimberly Beck).Ī group of teenagers move in to a house next door to the Jarvis house. However, he is alive and kills a doctor and a nurse and is loose once more. Jason Voorhees (Ted White) is believed to be dead and is taken to a hospital for an autopsy. Remember when they said this is the final chapter of the Friday the 13th franchise, they lied!Īfter being stabbed in the head by Chris Higgins. "Do you mind sleeping in the bottom bunk tonight?"
